Director CAPD Jammu reviews availability of essential commodities | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Jan 15 : On the directions of the Minister for CA&PD, the Director, CA&PD, Jammu conducted a tour of Ramban District and convened a meeting of the Assistant Directors, Tehsil Supply Officers and Storekeepers of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar Districts at Dak Banglow, Batote to review the availability of Food Grains, Sugar, Kerosene Oil and LPG in these districts especially in respect of snow bound areas. In the meeting, the Director was informed of availability of quantities of food grains at various stations and the feeding food stores. Availability of sufficient quantity of Kerosene Oil was reported, however, problems with regard to availability of LPG were raised as most of trucks loaded with LPG cylinders bound for these districts were held up in transit due to one way traffic restrictions. It was assured that the matter will be taken up with Traffic authorities for early clearance of all trucks loaded with essential commodities. In the meeting it was also decided that wherever the dealers/salesmen want advance ration for issue to rationees the same should be issued upto March 2012. All the officials were directed to remain available at their headquarters for mitigating the problems of rationees especially during these harsh weather conditions.The meeting was attended by Abdul Qayoom, Assistant Director, Ramban, Kaka Ram, Assistant Director, Doda, Nazir Ahmed Shah, Tehsil Supply Officer, Batote, Abdul Rashid Ganai, Tehsil Supply Officer, Gool, Abdul Latif Khan, Tehsil Supply Officer, Ramban, Mohd. Wasim, Tehsil Supply Officer, Banihal, Tariq Hussain, Tehsil Supply Officer, Thathri and Pankaj Thakur, Tehsil Supply Officer, Gandoh besides the storekeepers of these districts. |
