Bhargva Public School celebrates its annual day
Sham for taking education on missionary lines

SAMBA, Jan 16: Bhargva Public School, Samba today celebrated its annual day function with enthusiasm and fan-fare.
Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Minister lauded the role of Bhargava Group of Institutions in providing quality education to the students of rural and far-flung areas. He asked the management to concentrate on the overall development of the students and nurture them to compete in different fields. He also called for providing moral education to the students so that they become good citizens after completing their studies and serve the society with honesty, dedication and commitment.
He said Government was keen to promote private sector to improve the literacy rate and providing quality education to the students and several steps in this direction have been taken. He said private sector has been playing pivotal role in this field and supplementing government efforts. He also stressed upon the government institutions to improve the results in the rural areas with their earnest efforts.
Expressing concern over the commercialization of education, the Minister said that it should be taken on missionary lines. He asked the private institutions to provide free education to the poor students who cannot afford to pay fees. He asked them to reserve some seats for the poor students so that they can carry on their education. He also called for promotion of Guru-Shishya tradition and asked the teachers to instill sense of responsibility in students so that they can shoulder the future challenges, he added.
Chairman Bhargva Group of Institutions, Parkash Sharma gave resume of the activities of the school and said that the management is committed to provide quality education to the students on modern trends. He said the management has been focusing on preparing the students to meet various challenges in the field of modern education.
The Children presented colorful bonanza of cultural items, depicting social evils and national integration and awareness about dreaded diseases like HIV AIDS and social evils, which were highly applauded by the by the audience.
The Minister also distributed prizes and mementoes amongst the students and teachers who excelled in different activities.
Chairman, JCC Bank, Kr. Mohinder Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Mubarak Singh, Director Health, Dr. Madhu Khullar, and Sectoral Offices of various departments, parents, students and prominent personalities of Samba were also present on the occasion.
