Jagti Tenement Committee holds protest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 16 : The Jagti Tenement Committee Nagrota led by its president Shadi Lal Pandita held a peaceful protest dharna at Raj Bhawan Jammu. Later a delegation of the Committee handed over a memorandum to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The memorandum highlighted the burning demands of the displaced community in general and the demands of Jagti camp in particular. The memorandum highlighted the immediate need for enhancement of monthly relief, implementation of Prime Minister's package especially fulfilling of remaining posts under the package, permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits with OT compensation of 50 Lakh to each family. Compensation to over age youths, repair of road from Kandoli Mandir, fencing of Jagti 'Camp, recruitment of KP youth in police Department, Opening of J&K Bank Branch and a Police Post at Jagti Camp, creation of 500 Class IV posts for KP youths. The memorandum also said that all illegal encroachments of KP's property and land be removed in valley and genuine migrant families left at previous camps be allotted flats and more shops to be constructed for deserving shopkeepers who have lost their livelihood. B.L Raina, Chairman JTC, Vijay Koul, Vice President, Sanjay Raina, Chand, Kamal, M.L Akhoon, Vinod Tickoo, Ramesh Razdhan, Rattan Lal Ravi Zutshi, Makhan lal, Chaman Lal Bhat, Rajinder Dhar, Anu, Ashok , Kuldeep , Satesh Suri, Ramesh Bhat and others were present at the dharna.
