Help civil administration, ease peoples' problems: Khoda to police | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Jan 16: The Director General of Police (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda has alarmed the police administration to extend all possible help to the people and the civil administration to minimise the problems faced by the common man due to snowfall. He has said that heavy snowfall in the valley and remote areas of Jammu region has added miseries to the common people and the men in Khaki have to come forward for their help in this time of need. In a communiqué issued from Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today, Khoda has said that the people of affected areas are experiencing difficulties on various counts, more so, due to poor communication and other basic needs and it has become imperative upon the cops to extend their possible help in minimising the problems of the masses. The DGP has also asked for mobilizing of Civil Defence activists for providing necessary assistance to the people of affected areas. He has stressed for close coordination with the civil administration for mitigating the people's problems The DGP also talked to the District Superintendents of Police and enquired about the latest situation in their respective districts. He asked them to brief their subordinates units to remain vigilant for meeting any exigency caused by the unfavourable weather. Meanwhile, in a separate communiqué issued by Additional Director General of Police, Armed/Law and Order, K Rajendra Kumar has also activated all Commandants of IRP and Armed Battalions to extend assistance to the civilians in far-flung areas. He has also asked for assistance to civil authorities in restoration of transport and medical facilities. In case of medical emergency transport facilities should be provided to the needy people, the ADGP said in the communiqué. |
