| Akansha and Deepakshi enters sub Jr. Girls doubles final | | | Early Times Reporter

Akanksha and Deepakshi entered into the final of Sub-Junior Girls Doubles final defeated Inakshi and Payal by 15-6& 15-4 in the first semifinal in the ongoing Akhil Mahajan Memorial Badminton Tournament being played at Badminton Hall Indoor Sports Complex M.A. Stadium here today. In the final, they will play against the winner of the second semifinal match between Manisha and Sulakhni v/s Prabhjot and Keeratpreet. However, the quarterfinals were played today in Mini Girls Singles, Mini Boys doubles Mini Girls Doubles and Sub- Junior Girls Singles. Veteran singles and Veteran double matches were also got under way today. Following are the results of today’s matches in the above said categories:
Boys Singles (Pre quarterfinal): Sumit bt puneet, Chander bt Parth, Aman bt Rajat, Pranav bt Ayush, Vishav bt D.S. Shivam, Shantul bt Ruturaj and Ishan got walkover.
Mini Girls Singles (Quartrfinal): Prabhjot bt Rashika, Keeratpreet bt Tanjula, Payal bt Arohi and Manisha bt Parul.
Mini Boys Doubles (Quarterfinal): Shantul and Pranav bt Rajan and Ishan, Shivam and Sarvagya got walkover Rajat and Akhil and Aman and Chander also got walkover Lalit and Ayush.
Mini Girls Doubles (Quarterfinal): Keerat and Prabhjot bt Diskha and Rashika and Manisha and Payal bt Tanjula and Arohi.
Sub Junior Girls Singles (Quarterfinal): Akansha bt Inakshi, Sulakhni bt Keeratpreet, Depakshi bt Anchal and Manisha bt Prabhjot.
Veteran Singles: Som Raj Gupta bt Narinder Khajuria, Balbir Jamwal bt Balbir Syal and Surinder Gupta got walkover Vijay Verma.
Veteran Doubles: Som Raj and Balbir Jamwal bt Sanjeer Goel and Vijay Verma by 15-10& 15-8.
Vijay Dewan and Surinder Gupta bt Anil Gorkha and Harjeet Sethi by 10-15, 15-8 and 15-13 in a keen contest. All the matches of the tournament are being played under the supervision of Balbir Jamwal and Lalita Sharma (SAI Badminton Coach).
