| Special incentives for setting up units in rural areas: Dr. Romesh | | | Rajouri, Jan 15 Minister of state for Public health Engineering, Irrigation, Flood Control and Industries, Dr Romesh Chander Sharma has said that special incentives would be given to entrepreneurs willing to set up industries in rural areas. Addressing series of public meetings during his one day tour of Nowshera area, he said the Government is also keen to promote rural industry to generate employment for the youth living in far-flung areas of the state. The minister who was on two day tour to Nowshera and its rural areas addressed several public meetings and assure people that rural areas particularly those living near actual line of control would get all possible help from the government to improve their standard of living. During his tour the Minister visited Seher, Makri, Khadali, Bhawani and Jangar areas of Nowshera. During the tour various deputations met minister and put forth their demands which include installation of transformers, provisions for regular water supply besides special recruitment drives of police and army in the area. They demanded a recruitment of a special battalion of Territorial Army from the area. They also demanded immediate release of pending relief for the border migrants. Farmers of the area hailed the proposed amendments in the Roshni scheme and lauded Chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for introducing innovative provisions. The minister assured them that their demands would be taken care of and would be solved on priority. At Makri, Minster announced construction of a water supply scheme at an estimated cost of rupees twenty two lakhs. He said a proposal for in this regard have already been forwarded for administrative approval. |
