Chib attends National Youth Festival
Invitees National Awardees to J&K

MANGLORE, Jan 16- Minister for Medical and Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Rajindra Singh Chib today said that Jammu and Kashmir State would invite all the National Awardees of National Youth festival as state guests for five days as a recognition of their work.
The Minister who attended the ongoing Youth Festival here opined that youth festivals of this magnitude play a pivotal role in ensuring communal harmony and mutual co-existence which will go a long way in the growth of our society.
After interacting with the 80 member delegation of his state who are part of the National Youth Festival, the Minister informed that the Government of J&K will host all the National Awardees as state guests for five days as a recognition of their work. He termed the young achievers as `Ambassadors of Peace'.
He said "I am extremely delighted to know that "17th National Youth Festival" is being organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in association with Government of Karnataka at Mangalore". This provides an excellent platform to a large number of youth from all states of India to participate in remembrance of the "National Youth Hero" Swami Vivekananda, on the occasion of his birthday, he added.
Since a large number of youth delegates, besides 5,000 youth from all over India are participating in the five day festival, hence through their performances based on Arts and Culture, talents and Adventure will help them to overcome the challenges taking place due to fast globalization, he remarked. Complimenting the Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister for the successful conduct of the event, he said, Mr. Ajay Maken deserves special applause, for taking special innovative measures, to provide special opportunities to the youth of our country, to exhibit their talents, skills and potential to strengthen the concept of communal harmony, which ultimately will lead to cement our National Integration and democratic process.
I also congratulate the organizers including the state of Karnataka and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan for organizing such a wonderful festival, which will lead in channelizing the youth power in constructive and positive direction to further strengthen the great culture of this country viz. Unity in Diversity, he mentioned.
