| Jia, Ranote people smelling foul play | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 16: In a meeting of the villagers of Jia & Ranote held at village Jia it was held under the vice presidentship of Dalit Sena, Block Thathri, Sohan Lal Bhagat that some mischievous activities are being pursued by the sarpanch of the village.
It was held that the meeting of Panchayat Jia was conducted by the Sarpanch at some other place instead of village Jia itself which commands a central position.
The intention of the Sarpanch is deemed mischievous by the people of the concerned to prepare a ground for the construction of Panchayat Ghar at his place of choice for the reason best known to him. It is against the people of Jia & Ranote and is also against the spirit of democracy.
The people of the villages appeal the minister for Rural & Panchyat affairs to direct the sarpanch to act according to the convention of conducting the Panchyat affairs in the concerned village Jia and not at some other place. In future the meeting should be held at Jia village itself so that justice to the people of the villagers is guaranteed. |
