Govt indulging in hypocritical self praise: Harsh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan, 16: Harsh Dev Singh NPP MLA and its working chairman has lampooned the state govt. for its loud pronouncements, tall claims, airy slogans and exaggerated dissonance without showing any corresponding tangible output on the ground. He said that the govt. is indulging in hypocritical self praise and self adulation without delivering anything practically. He opined that the State govt. is thriving on false propaganda and media publicity with a complete mismatch between its rhetoric and delivery. He flayed in particular the so called achievements of the govt which had no visible impact and utterly failed to impress. Urging upon the govt. to refrain from rhetorical overtures, he drew the attention of the govt. towards utterly poor physical delivery which has created great dis-enchantment amongst the masses. Harsh Dev Singh ridiculed in particular the hollow claims made by the govt. regarding increased level of expenditure during the current financial year. He pointed out that funds under several heads had not even been released to the districts and line departments for the current financial year under state plan, district plan and centrally sponsored schemes with particular reference to state plan, thirteenth finance commission awards, projectization funds, renewal coat schemes of R&B; state plan and ARDWSP scheme of PHE; SCA to SCP; SCA to TSP (Social welfare deptt.), youth services & sports Deptt, Floriculture Deptt., Health Deptt . Including, NRHM; RMSA, SSA, KGBVs (Education), NABARD (PWD), UIDSSMT and IHSDP (Housing), PYKKA (Sports), AIBP (Irrigation), APDRP and T&D (Power), NRRF (revenue), Budgeted funds proposed for development of bad pocket areas besides others. Singh further advised the govt. to strictly ensure and supervise timely release of funds in respect of State Plans, District Plans, Centrally Sponsored Schemes, and PMRP etc. as the first step towards the often proclaimed slogan of good governance which seemed a long way to go for the present dispensation. |
