| Kundal chairs DRC meeting of Forest Deptt | | | early times report
Jammu, Jan 16: Department Related Committee (DRC) of forest was held today under the chairmanship of MLC Mr.B.R.Kundal. During the meeting the committee discussed various issues related to different wings of the Deptt. vis a vis Soil Conservation, Social Forestry, Wild Life, Forest Protection Force, Pollution Control Board and Fisheries.
The commissioner secretary forest briefed the committee about the various projects of the Department. During meeting it was informed that State Forest Corporation has issued about three lakhs cubic feet timber during current fiscal among the beneficiaries.
The committee laid emphasis over the aforestation in the various areas of the state and further stressed upon development of tissue culture in the state. MLCs Mr. Mohd Yousif Taing, Mr. Nizum-ud-Din Khatana, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Magray and Mr. Sayeed Asgar Ali among the others who attended the meeting. |
