Rains damage Kathua-Kalibari link
1/18/2012 12:10:15 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Jan 17: The continue rain has exposed the strength and quality of the newly built Kathua-Kalibari road causing the hamper to the vehicular movement due to the formation of several small pits.
This has been found that the material used by ERA contractor for double lane road has just proved as substandard and below the mark, as the rain since Saturday in Kathua uprooted fine crushed stones from the surface of the road and formed several deep and wide dangerous pits causing the hampering of vehicular movement.
Many people like Ram Singh, Surjeet Singh, Bipan Malhotra, Omkar Natha, Sanjeev and Raguvansh Dev Singh said that the Kathua is normally highlighted for lazy and negligent response from administration side where nothing really works for the betterment of the people for which one can see and witness the worse condition of streets and main roads of entire the town and its adjoining areas like Nagari town, Changran, Kokhyal, Jakhbar and entire wards of both town Kathua and Nagari.
They said more problems have been added for the people due the muddy streets with rain which has been occurring since Saturday.
If the newly built Kathua-Kalibari road is already in delayed spell that came into function but after three days rain deep pits have been found causing further suffering to the people and this work quality point of view must be investigated and checked in respect of public welfare.
