| Ten days exhibition by JKWDC concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , January 17 : Ten days exhibition organized by Jammu & Kashmir State Women's Development Corporation and sponsored by National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, Ministry of Minority Affairs Government of India concluded at Circus Ground Sector, 17 Chandigarh on January 16.
The said event was inaugurated by Dr. Naheed Soz, Managing Director, JKWDC in which 60 women beneficiaries/SHGs financed under NMDFC Loan Scheme from different corners of State took part in display and sale of the products manufactured by them such as Kashmiri hand made shawls/ Pashmina/Embroidery suits/Sozni items/Crewel embroidery, Papier machie/ Jute items /Dry Fruit/Artificial Flowers, Bed covers, Cushion covers, Sweaters, Jam, Pickle etc. During exhibition period the exhibitors made sufficient sales of worth Rs. 14 lakhs.
In her concluding address Managing Director impressed upon the beneficiaries to work hard with dedication and corporation will make its endeavour to reach out to maximum no. of women in all parts of the state for their socio-economic empowerment. |
