Resignations continues in BJP, women join fray
1/18/2012 12:17:58 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 17: Continuing their anguish against the party it was now the Mahilla Morcha Members from rural Akhnoor who resigned in favour of Bharat Bhushan M.L.A Raipur-Domana Constituency.
Workers are deeply upset the with party polices and ill treatment given by Central BJP to the first BJP MLA from Raipur-Domana constituency Bharat Bhushan.

The prominent among the persons who resigned along with other 18 Mahilla morcha members are Mano Devi (district president Mahilla Morcha Rural Akhnoor) and Rattno Devi (general secretary Mahilla Morcha Rural Akhnoor). Mano Devi strongly condemned the disqualification of 7 M.L.As especially 3 SC community M.L.A’s from the party and termed it a plot to tarnish the image dedicated leaders of party.

Mano Devi termed the state BJP President Shamsher Singh Manhas a biased and dishonest person who for his own petty interests put the party on stake. This is due to his dictatorial attitude that party has brought itself into disrepute. Workers are feeling dejected and being ignored. Favorite ones are being bestowed with the higher party posts. In the leadership of Shamsher Singh Manhas party is virtually divided and loss its mass base in the State due to his failure to keep the party together.

SC workers especially women are ignored in important party policies. Smt Mano Devi cited the example of two young girls of Doda who have mysteriously disappeared and are still untraced. Party has deliberately remained silent over the issue.

All the workers resigned with heavy heart alleging that this party does not have any place for mass leaders and workers who really work for welfare of common masses. They said that that SC community helped BJP in 2008 elections but 3 MLAs were expelled from party on the charges of alleged cross voting of which there is not single evidence.

They expressed full faith in leadership of Sh. Bharat Bhushan and pledged support to JKDF, a socio political group working for the interests of Jammuites and development of the downtrodden in the State.
