| Governor writes to Revenue Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 17: N N Vohra, Governor, in reference to a Memorandum of demands presented by a group of Kashmiri migrants from the Jagti Migrant Township, has addressed Raman Bhalla, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, regarding the issues relating to their rehabilitation and provision of various public utility services in the Jagti Migrant Township.
While reiterating their demands relating to permanent rehabilitation in Kashmir, employment, enhancement of cash assistance, removal of encroachments in regard to their immovable properties in Kashmir, these migrants led by Shadi Lal Pandita, President, Jagti Tenement Committee, held a demonstration outside Raj Bhavan yesterday and demanded provision of basic public amenities in the Jagti Migrant Township.
The Governor has urged the Revenue Minister to ensure that the demands of the Kashmiri migrants relating to the provision of basic public amenities in Jagti Township are given time bound attention.
