| Raise wages of home guards, confirm headmasters in Ladakh, release funds to local bodies: LC members to Govt | | | Jammu, Jan 15 In all 12 Members today raised the points of public importance in the Upper House during the Zero Hour. Mr. P. Namgial raised the point of confirmation of Headmasters working since long as Incharge Zonal Education Planning Officers in Ladakh division. Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Bhat demanded release of funds for the works executed in Thatri area of Doda District. Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil demanded enhancement of wages for Home Guards on the pattern of wages for SPOs. While Mr. Mohammad Sultan Panditpuri demanded enhancement of honorarium for Numberdars and Chowkidars. Mr. Nazir Ahmad Mir demanded incorporation of left out deserving villages in the list of Reserved for Backward Areas (RBA). Mr. Lal Mohammad Sabir raised the point of improvement of Mendher- Poonch road via Kotli. S. Arvinder Singh demanded fulfillment of promises made during local bodies election and release of funds for development of the areas falling under the Municipal limits. Mr. Bilal Ahmad Lodhi drew the attention of the government towards shortage of electricity and shamble conditions of conductors in some areas of Beerwah constituency. Mr. Bashir Ahmad Naaz demanded compensation for land occupied by the R&B department for construction of road in Poonch and Rajouri districts. While Mr. A. R. Takroo demanded early execution of Water Supply Schemes in Shopian. Mr. Mohammad Rashid Qureshi drew the attention towards shortage and supply of sub-standard ration in far-flung areas of Poonch district. While Mrs. Farida Mir demanded for channelizing the drainage system in some areas of Poonch district.
