| Adequate security provided to Hurriyat leader: Mangat | | |
Jammu, Jan 15
Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma today informed the House that adequate security has been provided to the Hurriyat leader Moulvi Omar Farooq. He however, said that if need arises the security provided to the Hurriyat leader would be reviewed and strengthened.
Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma was responding to the directions of Deputy Speaker Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone regarding this subject when Mian Altaf Ahmad, Dr. Mehboob Baig, Mr. Sharief –ud-Din Shariq, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar Mr A. R. Veeri, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Khan and several other members raised the issue of grenade attack on Srinagar residence of APHC Chairman Moulvi Omar Farooq today. The members expressed their concern over the incident and demanded a statement from the government.
Mr. Mangat Ram also assured Deputy Speaker that adequate medicare would be provided to a political worker reportedly injured in an attack at Hajin today.
