| 'Compensation for losses due to snow be provided to Kishtwar people' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 18 : Daljit Singh State Vice-President NPP and Anil Parihar, Provincial General Secretary (Jammu Province) in a joint statement have expressed grave concern over the situation rising in Kishtwar due to heavy snow fall which is continuing till now due to heavy snow roads are blocked and hundreds of vehicles both passengers as well as load carriers are stranded on the road from Batote to Kishtwar and Kishtwar to Paddar and Chhatro area. Scarcity of essential commodities like food items Atta, Rice, Kerosene oil is badly felt on the government depots and people are facing problems due to not availability of these commodities on government depots. They said that government is totally failed in providing the essential commodities to the peoples and assessing the losses caused to the houses which are damaged by the heavy snow in the district of Kishtwar. They urged upon the government to assess the losses caused by the snow to the properties of the citizens of district Kishtwar and pay them the compensation for damage property. They also urged upon the government to provide essential commodities to the masses of the Kishtwar as early as possible. |
