| HSS extends support to protesting daily wagers of PDD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 18: Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) come forward to support the daily wagers of Power Development Department (PDD) who are stiing on dharna from the last many days, here today.
Addressing the media persons HSS president Dimpy Kohli said that the daily wagers are demanding that they should be regularized and it is there birthright and Govt. should at once agree to their demands. He further said that HSS fully support the PDD daily wagers cause and warn the Govt. that the SRO 64's benefit should be given immediately given to the striking daily wagers. He added that these daily wagers risk their lives while performing their duties as some of them have even died during performing their duties. "The government should looked into the problems of these striking daily wagers and agree to their demand, which is logical also and all the daily wagers appointed after 1994 should be regularized" said Kohli.
Among those who were present on the occasion included Rakesh Kak, G.I. Singh, Sanjeev, Vipin Hindu, Rajinder Gupta, Ashwani Gupta, Jitender Kohli, Nathpal Choudary, Kulbir Chib, Satish Sahni and Rohit Sharma besides others. |
