| Symposium on "Save the Girl Child - Save the Nation" | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Jan18: A symposium was organized by Health Department on January 18 with the collaboration of Degree College Rajouri under the chairmanship of Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Principal, G A Khawaja District Development Commissioner was chief guest and Dr Z A Shawl Chief Medical Officer was guest of honour.
The college students and other resource person have thread bare discussion over the topic by eradicating communicating and motivating the audience regarding the social evil. Dr Shawl, Chief Medical Officer Rajouri made the audience aware regarding banning of illegal ultrasound clinics and laboratories running in district and has appealed to students, teachers, senior citizens, NGOs, Community leaders, religious leaders and District Administration to provide desired support in eradicating the menace from the society.
The male/female ratio of district Rajouri has fallen to 863/per thousand males. The prize was distributed among the students who got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position and consolation prizes were also given to all participants.Those who spoken on the occasion are Dr. Mohammad Fazal, Dy CMO Rajouri, Dr G A Qazi, Vice Principal, Professor Iqbal Raina, Mohammed Farooq Mir, CHO, acted as stage secretary. |
