| Empowerment programme for weaker section workers held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 18: Rural Development Forum(RDF), block Dansal in collaboration with Central Board for Workers Education (Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India) organized 4 days Empowerment programme for weaker section workers at Village Soyal (Korga), Block Dansal with the objective to inculcate among workers especially from Gujjar community and other weaker sections the various welfare schemes introduced by Central & State Government and other need based topics like Family Budget, Small Savings, Social Security, Health & Hygiene, Production & Productivity, Formulation of Self Help Groups.
Guest of honour PK Nargotra, Dy. Chief Executive Officer, KVIB, Jammu in his address highlighted the welfare schemes, Prime Minister Employment Generation programmes.
Mohan Lal, Sarpanch, Panchayat Halqa Bhatyari in his speech thanked all officers for attending the programme and listened their grievances with hope to redress the same and help the people to ameliorate their economic condition. Mohit Gupta, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Jammu as special guest in his address said that the role of Social Welfare Department is to identify the poor and BPL and give them some sort of relief through some incentives introduced by state government for their upliftment. Bano Partap Singh, Assistant Executive Engineer, EM&RE Division NO.1, Jammu presided over and heard the grievances and assured for their redressal.
Nasir Hussain Zargar, Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD(R&B) construction division NO.II, Jammu was Chief Guest and he in his address said that work of execution and maintenance of roads has been taken up and work will be started as soon as possible.
Ashok Sawhney, president, Rural Development Forum, Dansal in his address highlighted the role of CBWE and also in his address explained the problems of the area and for its remedial measures.
Sham Parshad Sharma, working president spoke on elimination of poverty and importance of education. |
