Court defers Singh's cross examination

Jammu, Jan 19: The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Subash C Gupta today recorded the further statement of prosecution witness Tej Pal Singh thus completing his examination in chief.
The defence council, however, sought adjournment of Singh's cross examination. At this stage prayer is made by.
As per the direction of the Court, Prosecution Witness Tej Pal Singh appeared along with the members of Police Escort (as sought by him ).
He was allegedly threatened of dire consequences by the accused. The witness was, therefore, provided security.
The court considered the prayers and provided time for cross-examination of prosecution witness.
He was directed to remain present on the next date of hearing. Court also directed the SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu to provide necessary escort to Tej Pal Singh for the appearance on the next day in present case. --- (JNF)
