| Batwal Association to launch membership drive | | | JAMMU JULY-31- The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association has decided to launch its membership drive all over the State. For this purpose, it has nominated members of the Jammu and Kashmir Chapter of the Association, who will conduct door to door survey to identify the exact number of the families of the Biradari. The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Association held at Bari Brahmana today under the chairmanship of senior member of the Advisory Committee Anant Ram Kaaith. President of the Association Romesh Mehta was also present at the meeting. The meeting also decided to hold general election of the body of J&K Chapter under the overall supervision of Baldev Chand who has been appointed as election commissioner for the purpose. It decided that till the fresh election of the Association, the nominated president would be empowered to change the executive members for any post whose performance would be found up to the mark. Senior Vice President of the Association in a hand out said that the Association has constructed a charitable Ashram at Dhudhari Chowk Haridwar and appreciated the role of Des Raj Tagotra and others for accomplishing the task within the stipulated time frame. He said with the construction of the Ashram, the Biradari members would be provided good and spacious accommodation all over the country and people of other community who would like to pay visit to Haridwar could also be accommodated in the Ashram.
