Govt flayed for failing in mitigating sufferings of Stranded Passengers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 19: Expressing solidarity with the stranded passengers, Dalit Jan-Jagriti Mission today flayed the state government for its slackness of the Government in mitigating the sufferings of the general masses of Kashmir valley to which they were confronted due to heavy snow fall. In a press conference here today National General Secretary S A Mir and state President Bashir Ahmad Dar, said that the general masses in Kashmir valley have been lacking the supplies of essential commodities like domestic gas, food supplies and other commodities. He has further said that the government has been making tall assurances that the National Highway will remain operational during summer and winter months but all assurances have proved false as the National highway has remained closed for pretty long time thereby adding to the sufferings of the stranded passengers both the Kashmir and Jammu. Both S A Mir and Bashir Ahmad Dar have said that all the headquarters of Kashmir valley have remained cut off from the Srinagar City during snow fall and the locals of the valley have to remain without any power supply and further demanded concession of electricity charges for this month for Kashmir people. Meanwhile the senior leaders also nominated Syed Javaid Ahmad Qadri and Javaid Iqbal, as district president for Poonch and Kupwara respectively. |
