| Vimal Muni College of Education organizes symposium | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 19 : Vimal Muni College of Education organised a symposium on the 149th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda ji, in the premises of the college.
Topic of the Symposium was Swami Vivekanand -
The Spirit of National Renaissance. Prof. Renu Nanda, Department of Education, University of Jammu, was the chief guest of the Programme. Dr. K. B. Sethi, Former Principal of Govt. College of Education, Dr. M. K Zutshi, Former Principal of MAM College, Jammu were the guest of honour.
Earlier the I/C Principal of the college presented the welcome address and impressed upon the students to participate in such kind of occasion so that educated youth may not be lured into a silent process of helplessness through intellectual, social and economic exploitation.
The programme was started with Saraswati Vandana by the students of the college.
Various students participated in the symposium and put light on the life of Swami Vivekananda,who is timeless sole model for today's youth. He called upon youth to analyse spiritually, be strong in mind and body.
The Chairperson of the college Anu Gupta also highlighted the importance of the day and extolled the participant's hardwork and presentation of their topic to their best extent.
The Chairperson of the college presented memento to the honourable guests. Later on, prizes, certificates and trophies were distributed among the best performers.
At last the vote of thanks was given by the Vice Principal of the college Rajni Bambroo.
The programme was concluded by singing a National Anthem as a tribute to Patriotic leader, Educationist, Philosopher, Religious saint and a Vedanta i.e. Swami Vivekananda ji. |
