| GLDM college organizes AIDS awareness programme | | | KATHUA, Jan 19: Red Ribbon Club of Government Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial (GLDM) Degree College in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control Society today.
Special invitee Dr Anirudh Rai KAS in his address said that HIV & AIDS is infecting 2.47 million Indians every year and of which high percentage is spread because of unprotected sexual relations and sharing of infected needles by druggist or other through infected blood transfusion etc. " AIDS can be prevented through awareness and to kill the AIDS is to know the AIDS, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ram Krishan threw light on the importance of values which helps the young ones to lead disciplined and virtuous life. "Abstaining from digressive behavior and drugs can help in preventing the infection of AIDS, he underlined.
