| PDD daily wagers intensifie their protest | | | Early Times Report
KATHIUA , Jan 20 : In order to convince the state coalition Omar led Government to regularize the PDD daily wagers, the protest dharna PDD daily wagers has been converted into constant regular dharna for 24 hour at power substation Hatli Morh, Kathua.On the occasion the district president of the PDD Daily Wagers Association Ram Krishan and vice president Susheel Kumar Sharma (Lucky) strongly resented over the Omar Government for befooling thousands of PDD daily wagers.
They said that about 24 months ago the PDD daily wagers launched a massive and effective 66 days long protest demonstration in favour of their demands for regularization, and the CM Omar Abdulla committed and assured to frame a policy for regularization within fifteen days, but proved all the commitments and assurances as bogus. They said now the ongoing protest dharna will be going on till the demands are not addressed and solved by the state coalition Government..
Meanwhile the district president of Sarv Dharam Sewa Samiti (SDSS) Robin Sharma declared its full support to PDD Daily wagers for strengthening their protest demonstration for the regularization of all the daily wagers.
He said , while speaking on the occasion that these daily wagers are giving their essential services through PDD at the door steps of the common man but against this hard and risky work the PDD department pays just 3700 rupees per month as salary that is also in irregular manners in this so high inflation. He said in such worse condition it is headache and moral responsibility of the state coalition Government to address their genuine and long pending demand of regularization and release the salaries of need based employees of the PDD department. |
