He expressed his satisfaction over services rendered by various components of JKP during the past few days in these areas.
The meeting had threadbare discussions on the reports sought from all establishments and components of the Organization working in the field.
The meeting was told that all wings of JKP including executive, armed, home guards, traffic and volunteers of Civil Defence coordinated with the Civil Administration in snow clearance, distribution of essential commodities and evacuation of stranded people from the snow hit areas.
The personnel also worked in close coordination with the Border Roads Organization in clearing avalanches from the National Highway and evacuated stranded passengers to safer places and in various remote areas.
Police vehicles were pressed into service for ferrying patients to hospitals and in the restoration of essential services in these areas, the meeting was informed.
Khoda expressed satisfaction for the coordination of JKP with other government departments viz PWD, Health, PHE, PDD, CAPD, Municipalities and other Local Bodies to ease the sufferings of the common masses during these harsh days. He also appreciated the role of police in rescuing the human lives, plunged in snow fall and providing them shelter.
