| Govt deptt disrespects Dr BR Ambedkar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu: All J&K ST/SC Retired Employee Forum (JKSC/STREF), expressed deep concern over the disrespect shown to 'Father of Indian Constitution' Dr BR Ambedkar as the square dedicated to his name still is mentioned as Panama Chowk in many government advertisements.
Retd. DG, Geological Survey of India, Sevadas Digra who is also the president of All J&K ST/SC Retired Employee Forum, expressing concern over the issue stated that it is the deliberate attempt made by the concerned official to ignore the personality who has contributed much to shape the present India.
"In what may be said as total disrespect to a national leader and maker of the Indian constitution, which guides India, a government department, as published an advertisement in which it had mentioned its address as 'Panama Chowk' instead of Dr. B.R Ambedkar chowk, despite the fact that it has been named after the great Indian leader, he said citing that Office of the Executive Engineer, Grid Construction Division, PDD has published a Notice vide No.GCD/J/1 of 2011, in a leading Daily displaying the location of the said Office as Panama Chowk instead of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk.
Prof Sanjay Karlopia, Principle District Session Judge (Retd) S S Sarangal and others too have registered their resentment over the issue. |
