| KU team leaves to participate in cultural event | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Jan 21: Kashmir University debating team led by Cultural Officer of the Varsity, Shahid Ali Khan and comprising of Zain-ul-Abidin from Engineering Sciences and Mehraj Wani from Business and Financial Studies today left for Maharashtra to participate in the 27th National Youth Festival 2012 being organized by Association of Indian Universities and Ministry of Youth Affairs from January 22 to 26.
Earlier in November 2011, the KU cultural contingent participated in the 27th North Zone Level Youth festival held at Lovely Professional University Jalandhar Punjab where KU team bagged three awards in Cultural Procession, Music and Debate.
The debating team qualified for nationals. Vice Chancellor KU, Prof Talat Ahmad, Registrar, Prof S Fayaz and Associate Dean Students Welfare, Dr Mushtaq A Darzi have wished the team luck before they left. |
