| Crescent public school celebrates annual day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 21: The 7th annual function of Crescent Public School was celebrated at Abhinav Theatre with great enthusiasm, fervour and thrill.
MLC and senior National Conference leader Ajay Kumar Sadotra was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Reeta Jitendra former principal Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar was the presiding guest.
The programme commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Star TV anthem as a tribute to the women hood and women in general.
Welcome speech was presented by the Chairman of the school Arshad Ali Chaudhary which was followed by presenting the Annual Report by the Principal Ramma Raina followed by achievement report of various co-curricular activities.
Various literary and cultural items were presented by the Cresentians which were placed in a disciplined manner.
Dance items like Gojri, Saree dance and Flag dance were the main attraction which was highly appreciated by Guests, audience and media people.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar Sadotra appreciated the students of school for displaying such colourful items through various cultural programmes. He emphasized upon the teaching fraternity to dedicate themselves to inculcate, moral and ethical values practically to the students and finally distributed the momentos for the meritorious students for standing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in academics for the session 2010-11.
Rita Jitendra also addressed the gathering and underlined the need of quality education in the present competitive era and distributed trophies for houses. The trophy for best house was won by 'Truth House' followed by runners up trophy went to 'Courage House'.
Vote of thanks was presented by Ambreen Choudhary, Director of the school. |
