GGM students celebrate R-Day

Jammu, Jan 21: Students of GGM science college, Jammu today celebrated Republic day and hoisted the National Flag in the college as GGM science college will remain closed upto 26th of Jan. in view of the security reasons.
The function was organized by NSS volunteers of GGM Science College and was presided by Suresh Sharma and was accompanied by Vinod Bakshi (physical director of the college),. D S Manhas, Rakesh Gupta, Sunil Bhat, M S Saini, Veer Singh, Arun and  B L Bhat.
While delivering the lecture to the students D S Manhas  said that republic day should be celebrated in every educational institution and students and youth should be made aware of the importance of this day and rights and duties on the students community.
He appreciated the efforts of the student community who organized such a wonderful function in the college.
Meanwhile, the national flag was unfurled by the staff members and was followed by the national anthem.
Partap Singh Jamwal, while delivering vote of thanks, thanked the students who made this function successful with their efforts.
He also thanked media persons who spared time to cover the said program.
He said that the Republic Day is celebrated after 20 years in the GGM Science College and urged the college authorities to make this function a regular event of the college.
Others who were present on the occasion include Navjot Bakshi, Vikram Partap singh, Manpret Kour, Shilpa, Vikram Singh Chib, Angat Kumar, Rinku Sharma, Shatru Jeet Singh, Alisha, Ashwani Balloria, KamalPreet Singh, Abinanden, Shiva Sappru, Rahul, Sahil Sharma etc
