| One day Industrial Motivation Campaign held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 21: Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Government Degree College Kathua in association with the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Government of India, Jammu organized a one day "Industrial Motivation Campaign" on entrepreneurship development.
Principal Government Degree College, Kathua, Dr Netar Singh in his welcome address gave a brief introduction about Entrepreneurship. He motivated the students to set up their own small scale ventures and provided the students an insight into various Government schemes and available Government support to set up their own industrial units.
Varinder Sharma, Director, MSMEDI, Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He explained to the students about the efforts of their Department in the development of entrepreneurship in the state. Among other distinguished speakers were A.K Seth, Dy Director MSMEDI Jammu, Dr Bharat Bhushan, General Manager, DIC, Kathua and Dr. Ram Prasad, Development officer, Khadi village and Industries Board, Kathua. They all spoke on the importance of entrepreneurship in today's scenario where unemployment is the major challenge faced by the educated youth. They also focused on self employment and various facilities provided by their respective departments for encouraging entrepreneurship. |
