Annual Gandhi Global summit to be held at Guwahati | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 21: The two-day Annual All India Gandhi Global Family Summit to be held at Guwahati, Assam on January 30-31. Informing this in a press conference here today, S P Varma vice president Gandhi Global Family, New Delhi said, "Gandhi Global Family New Delhi a federation of Gandhian Institutions World Wide is engaged in the service of mankind by promoting Mahatma Gandhiji's ideology amongest all sections of society irrespective of caste, creed, colour, boundaries for a peaceful world under the table president-ship of Ghulam Nabi Azad Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare". He disclosed that the inaugural session shall begin on 30th January 2012 after paying floral tribute to Father of Nation on his 64th Martyrdom in the presence of huge gathering of Gandhians coming from all over the country and abroad. Verma also disclosed that summit has met Tarun Chandra Gagoi CM Assam for inviting him to the national level programme. Dr Himanta Viswa Sarma Minister for Education & Health Assam State is cooperating in making the necessary arrangements required for sammelan, where followers of Gandhian ideology are participating from all parts of the country. In addition to it, GGF members from J&K State are leaving for Guwahati in three batches on 25th, 26th and 27th January 2012 from Jammu. He said that Gandhians across the world will gather for the summit. Verma sought the cooperation so that message of Gandhiji should reach to the grassroot level under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Senior functionaries of the GGF were also present on the occasion. |
