| Court directs to probe fake PRC by Ex VC Gujarat Ayurvedic Univ | | Fake State-subject case | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 21: Responding to the petition filed by one Harvinder Singh r/o Rampura Gandhi Nagar Jammu against Kulwant Singh former Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurvedic University who allegedly possess fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC), Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) directed SSP Crime Branch to investigate the matter further.
CJM Jammu Jatinder Singh Jamwal after hearing Adv BL Kalgotra for the complainant and perused the contents of the complaint and considered the submissions putforth by the Adv BL Kalgotra, forwarded the complaint to SSP Crime Branch for his reference.
According to complaint Kulwant Singh s/o Sant Kartar Singh former Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurvedic University got Permanent Resident Certificate from DC Udhampur in 1959 claiming to be resident of Udhampur Town, on the basis of that PRC Kulwant Singh got a seat in the Ayurvedic College and got a degree a Doctor Ayurvedic Medicine and joined service and has retired as Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurvedic University. After returning to Jammu, Kulwant Singh with alleged malafide dishonest intention to get undue benefits for himself and for his children, he has again got a new PRC issued from DC Jammu without surrendering the old on May 5, 2009. In the complaint it has been alleged that Kulwant Singh has deliberately committed offences of cheating and got prepared a false valuable documents by resorting to fraud and subterfuge which are punishable u/s 420/465/467/468/ & 471 RPC.
