5 hurt as mini bus skidded off road | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Jan 21: At least five passengers were seriously injured while more than 15 received minor injuries when a matador on its way from village Pandori to Kathua skidded off the road and rolled down near Nagri here early this morning. According to the eye witnesses, the mishap took place when the driver of the matador bearing number JK08A 6035 lost control of the vehicle near new tube well at Nagri and rolled down in which more than twenty five persons were travelling. On receipt of the information, Police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations along with the locals and rescued all the passengers safely while five persons who received serious injuries have been identified as Dharam Pal son of Gian Chand, Ashok Kumar son of Kanshi Ram, Sham Lal son of Bhimo Ram, Tara Chand son of Rattan Chand and Karan son of Mani Ram, who were rushed to the District Hospital Kathua for medical treatment. Police have registered a case. in this connection and launched a manhunt to nab the driver of the vehicle, who managed to flee the spot after the incident. |
