Black Cobra XI wins Winter Gold Cup | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 22: Black Cobra XI Balpur today lifted the 6th edition of the Winter Special Gold Cup Cricket Tournament outplaying Sehal Kouri Ber XI by six wickets in the final played at sports stadium, Sehal Kouri Ber in block Majalata in distict Udhampur. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Sehal Kouri XI set a taget of 116 runs losing all their wickets in 18.4 overs of the 25 overs match, which, in reply, Black Cobra chased for the loss of six wickets sparing eight overs of their innings. The winner team was presented a cash prize of Rs 5100 and a glittering trophy by chief guest, senior vice-president, Pradesh Youth Congress, RS Pathania. He also awarded Rs 3000 to runners-up side. Skipper of the losing side of Sehal Kouri, Virender Singh was ajudged man of the series and given away cash prize of Rs 1500. Prominent among others present were Sarpanch, Mohan Lal, Haji Mohd Azeem, Station House Officer Majalta This tournament is organised every year in the month of January under the chairmanship of Rashpal Singh.
