| Shaheed Sukh Mal Motan remembered | | |

The annual Male of ‘Motan Biradari’ was held today at Devasthan Deoli in memory of Shaheed Sukh Mal Motan Ji. The day started with Havan, Kirtan followed by colorful cultural programme performed by the children of the Motan Biradari.
As per reports, large number of people from Motan Biradari from far off places, such as, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh offered prayers at the Devsthan.
Romesh Motan, Patron of All India Batwal Welfare Association and general secretary was the chief Guest Baldev Singh Motan from Gurdaspur, Punjab, Vice-Chairman shromani Akali Dal, and Master Kans from Sujanpur were the Guests of Honour Smt. Bimla Motan, Lecturer Presided over. The function while addressing Ramesh congratulated all the Sangats who participated in the Annual Male and highlighted the problems facing the Biradari and stressed the need to follow the foot-steps of Shaheed Sukh Mal Motan Ji, who scarified his life for the upliftment and betterment of the humanity.
He assured the Biradari on the occasion that he will try his best to get a Community Hall constructed in the Devasthan at Deoli through funds from MPs or MLAs and MLCs if his party, so that the community members may reside during Annual males.
S. Baldev Singh, Vice Chairman, while speaking thanked Mufti Mohd. Sayeed, former Chief Minister and Romesh Motan as General Secretary of the State PDP. Others who spoke on the occasion included Girdhari Lal Motan, Kuldeep Kumar, Baldev Raj Motan, Sat Pal, Jagat Ram Motan, Des Raj Motan and Sewa Ram Motan.
