JK increases security in border areas | | | Early times Report Jammu, Jan 22: Ahead of the Assembly polls in neighbouring Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir has beefed-up security in the border areas to prevent movement of anti-social elements in the state. The state police has set up checkpoints along the border with Punjab and elaborate security arrangements have been made to take care of possible movement of criminals and anti-social elements into Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda told reporters here. Punjab, which is going to polls on January 30, shares borders with Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. |
