| Abducted girl recovered, accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 22: Police have recovered a minor girl, who was abducted a few days back by a youth from Kathua.
According to police sources, the girl identified as Sabita Devi daughter of Narinder Kumar of W.No.7 Kathua was reported missing vide DDR No 5, dated 12.01.2012.
During the course of search it was learnt that the girl has been abducted by one Tohit Alam son of Mohd Naseer of Kishan Gunj Bihar and a case FIR No.18/2012 U/S 363 RPC was registered and investigation started.
A Police Party headed by SI Rajeshwar Singh Slathia immediately proceeded to Bihar and recovered the abducted Girl and arrested the accused person.
Meanwhile, a police party of P/S Kathua acting on a specific information laid down a naka at Shaheedi Chowk Kathua and apprehended one person identified as Ravinder Singh S/O Pawan Singh R/O Jandore Kathua recovered, 40 pouches of J&K Excise liquor (250 ML) from his possession. A case FIR No. 25/2012 U/S 48-E Excise Act stands registered at P/S Kathua against the arrested accused. |
