| Brig Singha inaugurates water supply scheme at Kajurla | | | JAMMU JULY-31- Apart from its operational task of maintaining sanctity of LoC and fighting terrorism, the Army has been doing a commendable job to meet the requirements of the people including provision of drinking water. As a part of its program, the Army has taken a number of schemes in the border area under Operation Sadbavana. Keri Battalion in Rajouri sector has constructed a water supply scheme at village Kajurla at a cost of Rs.11.05 lakh which was formally inaugurated by Brig IS Singha Commander Bhimber Gali Brigade yesterday. A large number of civilians of the area were also present at the inaugural function. Speaking on the occasion Brig Singha said that the project would ensure availability of drinking water to the local populace of the area . With the commissioning of this scheme, the problems of the villagers residing on the higher reaches along the line of control has been solved to a large extent, he added.
