9th class student claims he caught Pak ultra near IB on Jan 19, BSF denies | | | Early Times Report jammu, Jan 22: Making a sensational disclosure, a 9th class student said he caught hold of a Pak militant near BSF's SP-1 outpost at Ramgarh in Samba near here on January 19 last and then handed him over to two BSF personnel, a claim that has been denied by BSF. All top functionaries of police, army and counter-insurgency (CI) agencies have been taking rounds of the boy's residence at Bhambochak since January 19 but none of them confirmed the incident. Bhambochak is close to SP-1 outpost. Sahil Choudhary (15), son of Darshan Lal, delivers milk at SP-1 outpost daily and then leaves for his school in the village. He told Early Times over phone that when he was going to deliver milk at the outpost Thursday last, he was intercepted by a BSF Gypsy. Two cops alighted from it and asked him if he had seen a youth in a black salwar and a blue shirt. When he replied in the negative, they left the spot in the Gypsy, he added. He said while going towards the post, he came across a youth who was searching something in bushes. "When I asked him what was there in the bushes, he said he had lost his mobile phone and asked me too to help him in searching it out," he added. Sahil said when he got close to him, he found that he was wearing a black salwar and a blue shirt. "I then grappled with him and raised an alarm. Hearing my screams, two BSF men reached there soon and apprehended the youth," he claimed. He said some handgrenades, pistols and a gun were recovered by the BSF men from the bag the youth was carrying with him. In the meantime, the BSF Gypsy also reached there, he added. He said while the BSF men dumped the youth in the Gypsy and left the spot, they threatened him of dire consequences in case he discussed the incident with anybody. The matter, however, became public after Sahil discussed it with her maternal grandmother yesterday. SSP (Samba) Israr Khan too did not confirm the incident, saying they were finding it hard to believe what Sahil had narrated. He said it was not possible for anyone to enter India as a tight vigil was being maintained all along the borders to ensure smooth conduct of Republic Day celebrations |
