| KU debating team to participate in NYF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 22:(KNS): Kashmir University debating team comprising of Zain-ul-Abidin from Engineering Sciences and Mohammad Shahkar MehrajWani from Business and Financial Studies KU today left for Maha-rashtra to participate in the 27th National Youth Festival 2012. The festival is being organized by Association of Indian Universities and Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India from 22nd to 26th Jan 2012. Earlier in November 2011 the KU Cultural contingent participated in the 27th North Zone Level Youth festival held at Lovely Professional University Jalandhar Punjab where KU team bagged 3 main awards in Cultural Procession, Music and Debate. It was then that the debating team qualified for Nationals. Professor Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor Kashmir University wished the team luck saying that the participation of our students in these festivals not only gives vent to their talent but gives them an opportunity to share and consolidate their experien-cesCultural Officer in DSW KU Shahid Ali Khan is accompanying the group. |
