Hindi play 'Pralaya ki Dastak' staged | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 22: Under its series, the Natrang today staged a new Hindi play 'Pralaya Ki Dastak', at Jammu. The play was written by Yogesh Tripathi and directed by Neeraj Kant. The play exhibits in a very artistic yet comprehensive manner the disastrous effects of the biggest threat which the world is facing today, AIDS. How it spreads and how fatal it is, is well taught in lectures and seminars but today's performance showcased everything so vividly that one is forced to think over it with the deepest concern. Different tragic anecdote of different victims were presented which grabbed the attention of the audience at once and made everyone realize that though everyone is confident that we know the reasons of AIDS and we can't be affected but still the number of its victims is rising and those are not only illiterate masses but well educated and learned people are also covered under its dark shadow. This calls for more preca ution, more alertness and more responsibility towards our dear ones and the society as a whole. How its root causes like unsafe sex, drug addiction and the use of the same syringe by different people spread it is shown very dramatic manner, the play preached many lessons but not in a didactic manner which goes overhead many times. Not just the content of the play was very relevant but the presentation style was so vibrant which attracted attention of the audience. The young artists of Natrang who performed with professional expertise and impressed all include Sajra Qadir, Balwinder Singh, Uplaksh Singh, Abhinav Vimarsh, Syed Fardeen and Atin Tikka. Mohd Yaseen rendered the Music. The lights were operated by Neeraj Kant. Sumeet Sharma coordinated the show and also did the presentations. |
