NPSU stages protest against govt for discrimination with Dogri Language | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 22: National Panthers Student Un ion today staged protest against the government for discrimination with Dogri Language. Students on the occasion demanded for introduction of Dogri from Primary level to higher standards of education. The protest was led by Virender Thakur. Staging protest he said that in Jammu Division there are more than three hundred Higher Secondary schools but there is no post for a teacher or lecturer in those schools. In many of the school students want to seek admission for pursuing in subject but in absence of faculty they have to change the subject. Further lamenting the discriminated attitude of state government towards the regional language he said that even if meager number of Degree colleges have Dogri faculty, the lecturers are on contractual basis. He further said that in all the colleges posts for lecturers should be created so that the scholars who have pursued research in the subjects can be absorbed. Meanwhile NPSU also demanded that in Central University, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, as well in other satellite campuses of Jammu University the subject should be introduced.
