| Kaith still awaiting for due rights | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 23: Even after ten years the Jammu University authorities have failed to dispense justice to R.L.Kaith who was assured of appointment as Assistant registrar, said Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Caste Employees Forum. Forum reiterated that Prof Amitabha Mattoo, former Vice-Chancellor, JU had assured Kaith to appoint him as Assistant Registrar in the University. After Mattoo, his successor Vice-Chancellor Prof Varun Sahni too assured Kaith that he would discuss his case with the Chancellor of University but even after lapse of more than two years nothing was done.
Forum stated that even the High Court of J&K issued an 'Interim Order' for consideration of Kaith Assistant Registrar, the University authorities too, didn't honour that.
Forum alleged said Special Secretary Neeraj Kumar who remained close to the Vice-Chancellors, got undue benefits. "He joined the University as Assistant Registrar in 2003 and was immediately promoted to the post of Deputy Registrar in 2006 in violation of statute governing appointment of Deputy Registrar, the statement added. |
