| Youth succumbs to assault injuries, murder case registered | | |

A youth, who received critical injuries in a murderous assault three days back at Chatha, today succumbed to his injuries in GMC hospital. Murder case has been registered against the four of his friends that allegedly attacked the deceased with sharp edged weapons over some trivial matter.
According to reports, Harmeet Singh aged 26 years son of Tarlok Singh of Chatha was attacked by his friends three day back with sharp edged weapons in which he received serious injuries. He was immediately shifted to GMC for treatment by his family members without reporting the assault incident. Today morning he succumbed to his injuries thereafter his family members narrated the entire episode to police and get registered a murder case against four accused, who are also the friends of the deceased. The accused have been identified as Limta son of Kirpal Singh, Nalwa son of Mohan Singh, Dhanna son of Ram Singh and Kala. Police immediately took the possession of the body and sent it for the postmortem. Later, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites. Meanwhile, police has launched a hunt and raided several areas to nab the accused. But, no arrests were made till the last reports came in.
