Missing PDP worker found dead in Chadoora | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 23 : A worker of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had gone missing since Saturday evening, was found dead on Monday in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir's Budgam district. Police said Abdul Rashid Dar, a goldsmith by profession and a resident of Badipora in Chadoora area, was missing since Saturday. Dar's body was found under a culvert at Nagam, two kilometers from his residence, on Monday morning. SHO Chadoora, Zahoor Ahmad told KNS that preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had died due to a blow to his head. "There were torture marks on the body of deceased. However, it is difficult to ascertain the cause of death till forensic report comes," he said. Sources told that police have arrested some suspects of the alleged murder and they are being questioned. However, the SHO declined to identify the arrestees. "Till investigations aren't complete it would be difficult to comment on it," the SHO said. Meanwhile, pall of gloom descended in Badipora when Dar's body reached there. Hundreds of people participated in nimaz-e-jinazah of the deceased. |
