| Absconder arrested after nine years | | |

City police today arrested an absconder after nine long years from Udhampur on the direction of court. The person was evading the court warrants in case under section 510. According to reports, Anand Kumar alias Babbi son of Durga Dass of Jullaka Mohalla at present Udhampur was involved in a case under section 510 in City police station. A case was registered against him under FIR no 100/ 97 and he was evading himself from the court of law from the last nine long years despite 512 warrants issued by court against him. Court has issued a direction to City police to arrest him. Sources said police booked specific information that said person is hiding at Udhampur. Acting swiftly, SHO City Kuljeet Singh sent a police team to Udhampur to arrest him. He was arrested there and brought to City Police Station.
