Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose remembered on 115th birth anniversary

JAMMU, Jan 23: A series of functions were organised today in winter capital of the state to mark the 115th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) paid rich tributes to Netaji Subhash Chander Bose on his 115th Birth Anniversary at party headquarters, Shaheedi Chowk. The function was organised by District Congress Committee (DCC), Jammu Urban.
Congressmen led by senior vice president PCC and former Member of Parliament Dharam Pal Sharma offered floral tributes to Netaji.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharam Pal Sharma said that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was an outstanding leader and took active part in the freedom movement adding that he was a revolutionary par excellence who took the struggle for independence beyond the Indian borders. DCC president Om Chopra while paying floral tributes said that Netaji was a great freedom fighter of India. He was the founder of the Indian National Army.
DS Langeh, SR Sudhir, Kirtan Singh, Inder Sehgal, Mansa Ram, Kulbushan Sharma, BS Mastana, Madan Lal Malagar, Kuldip Sharma and others were prominent among those who attended the programme.
Congress Seva Dal also organized 115th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose at its head office Jammu under the chairmanship of Balbinder Singh Sambyal along with Vipan Nischal Jammu Chief (Urban) Congress Seva Dal. While addressing the gathering of Seva Dal workers Sambyal reminded them the achievements of Netaji during the struggle of independence. He said that Netaji had a tremendous zeal of patriotism and nationalism.
In a similar function, J&K Freedom Fighters paid tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his115th birth anniversary at Town Hall Municipality Park, Jammu. The programme was chaired by its president Ved Gandotra and Pritam Sharma. Surinder Singh, SP Head Quarter Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Surinder Singh said that Netaji was one of the most prominent leaders in the Indian independence movement and is a legendary figure in India today. NSS unit of GGM Science College, Jammu also paid tributes to Netaji Subash Chander Bose on their birth anniversary in Oval Garden at College campus. Early morning a large numbers of students gathered in the garden and raised National slogans like "VANDE MAT RAM" NETA JI AMAR RAHE" BHARAT MATA KI JAI" On the occasion, Dr Satinder Pal Singh Principal GGM Science college along with staff members including Dr Rajinder Singh, Prof D S Manhas, Prof Veer Singh, Prof M S Saini, Prof Satish Bhan, Prof Arun.
Principal, staff and students pay floral tribute to Netaji and observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect.
Addressing the students, Dr Satinder Singh said that the youth should follow the principles of the Netaji and they should ever ready to fight for the pride of nation.
