| PDP protests power break down in Bahu Fort area | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 23: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today organized a strong protest demonstration against the State Government and Power Development Department (PDD) against their callous attitude towards the plight of the locals of Bahu Fort. The protest demonstration was led by senior PDP leader Prof Shohab Inayat Malik. Protesters were raising slogans against the state government particularly PDD department for not providing electricity to the people of Pacca Talab Bahu Fort. On the occasion, PDP leader Prof Shohab Inayat Malik said that four days back, the transformer of the Pacca Talab Bahu Fort was damaged. Despite the request to Chief Engineer, XEN and AE of PDD to restore electricity, the transformer has not been still repaired which plunged the whole area into darkness for the last four days. Prof Shohab said that the people of Pacca Talab are suffering badly and government is not paying attention for restoring electricity of said area. He also criticized the state government for not providing Kerosene oil. Prof Shohab warned if the power would not be restored in the Bahu Fort area, then another protest demonstration will be held tomorrow. |
